Recreational News
It has been a very busy couple of weeks with so many newbies trying out in our Under 5’s, GymFun & GymSkills Programs. This can be a bit of a tuff time not only for the gymnasts but also for the coaches as they wipe away tears, console the uncertainties and familiarise the children with the class structure and expectations of behaviour. As I am sure you can imagine this is not at all an easy task and as the weeks go on and our new gymnasts become more familiar with the class, the skills and their coaches it will all be a little less chaotic! We would like to take this time to thank all our new families for their patience and understanding as everyone settles in and we hope you enjoy your gymnastics journey!
What do I do after my 2 trials?
Once your 2 trials are done Nicki will send you an email to confirm that your child would like to continue and secure their spot in the class. To do this you will need to complete a CLUB MEMBERSHIP FORM (link below). Once this form is received Nicki will email you an invoice for Club Membership and their Class fees for Term 1. Please ensure you check your junk mail for the invoice. Click here for the 2025 Membership form https://www.gymsportsfnq.com.au/bookings/membership-form/

INTERNATIONAL GYMNAST VISIT
We have been very lucky to have a Senior Gymnast from ETV Olympia in the Netherlands join in and train with our Diamond squad. 18 year old Sophie is visiting family in Cairns for a month and just like a true gymnast she misses her training and we were excited to have her join us!
It is always so nice to have gymnasts from other countries visit our club and train with our gymnasts. It is such a great opportunity for our gymnasts to see how other countries train and make new international friendships.

2025 Ninja Gymnastics Open Day
Our annual Ninja Gymnastics Open Day was a huge success!! We had over 50 children aged between 2 and 10 years attend over the 2 sessions. Although it was a bit hot & steamy in the gym they all enjoyed a great Ninja session which focuses on movement, coordination and building confidence. Thank you to all of our coaches for putting on a great day and welcoming all of new Ninja’s! Everyone received a voucher to ‘Bring a Friend for Free’ so we hope they will join us again and bring some of their friends too!
